Sitting down with a nice cup of good scottish Tetley's, with Paolo Nutini's Rewind playin on my itunes... a far cry from what Ive been use to.. living in a garage, sharing a house with 5 other ppl and a dog.. lovely neighbours next door, friends in every direction from where I lived.. 5 min walk from anyone, or a 10 minute drive at the most.... Msn constantly blinking, mobile phone always ringing with "Dinner tonight?", "Coffee at LDV later?", "Up for poker?"...
Missing the morning sun, lying on the grass at the West End, with a cup of ice cold coffee and one of those amazing german hotdogs... the sun on ur face, the gentle breeze, great company for a sunday morning chat about absoutely anything under the sun...
A 180 degrees change... the phone has gone quiet, msn has stopped blinking, living alone for a change.... a new experience, a different one.. a rather quiet one... The sun has been out for the last couple of days.. but something important is missing.. the people who shared it with me..
Living alone, not quite as enjoyable as one would think.. no human interaction, coming home to an empty house, just doesnt quite do it for me.. hoping for something to ring, be it the phone, msn or skype.. just to hear a friendly voice on the other side, or a silly comment from someone has made a huge difference compared..
our lives are made
in these small hours
these little wonders,
these twists & turns of fate
time falls away,
but these small hours,
these small hours still remain
Just missing people at the moment...
the 'people' who made me and have been there for me since forever
the 'people' who I got to know along the way
the 'people' who have been there for me since then
the 'people' who Ive gotten to know in the last 5 months
All important in their very special individual way.. ♥

Someone once said... "Dont expect anything, its easier not to get disappointed."
But as humans, well girls, you can't help but not expect, just even a teeny weeny bit.. u would expect.. a little... Expectations are one that can either bring you lots of joy if they are met and send u in a downward spiral if they are not..
So question to self,
To expect? or not to expect?
I expected a little and guess what happened...

*smacks hands* Yes I know, Ive not been updating this blog of mine.. but but but.. Ive got a pretty good excuse for not doing so.. (*well at least I hope its a good excuse)...
First, there were the exams... which took up quite a bit of my time.. studying in the library with Mishie and gang, Avril joined us once a while... ooo and at the same time, both my parents were over for a visit.. bad timing but it was the only time Dad could get off work... Bryan was kinda enough to show them ard (seriously appreciate and am still appreciating it AKL!! )
Exams ended on the monday, had to pack that very night as I was flying out of Brissy the very next day.. Reason being, I manage to get a place in the Summer Internship Programme at my Uni, working on a research project with a Prof. So it was an opportunity too good to pass and I had to be back in Glagow by the friday of that week, hence the rush.
Anyways.. Arrived back in SG Tuesday night... Mom and Dad were on a different flight. Plan was to fly back to Glasgow on Wednesday night as planned. Wed morning had to pick the parents up at 5.30am.. kinda over slept haha but made it anyways haha... checked email in the afternoon and got an email from my Prof saying that she'll be away to Newcastle and will only like me to start the Tuesday after.. GREAT! so did a quick change of flight and manage to get a couple more days in SG.. (:
That being said.. a couple more days wasnt a lot of time to be honest... could hardly meet up with most of my friends... just a few...had a couple of surprises along the way.. 3 in surprises in 4 days.. haha thats quite an achievement I reckon.. (:
BUT.. highlight of this trip.. Wake-boarding with SHu and Fiona.. hahah.. it was awesome.. I absolutely fell in love with wake-boarding and cant wait to go again soon..!! It being my first time and all, I was shaking in my pants when it was my turn.. but after 2 tries, I was standing and was so bloody determined to keep standing hahha.. it was fun though hanging out with the girls and all.. First surprise.. was to Fiona, SHu only told Fi that she was bringing a friend.. so it was nice to see Fi surprised when she saw me (:

Last surprise was to Carl... very late surprise too.. he only arrived back in SG that Sunday afternoon that I was flying off. It being Father's Day and all, he was only meeting his friends at night.
Im gonna digress just a wee bit for a mo... Father's Day.. cos Dad couldn leave the house, Alistair and I had to go get take-away.. so we decided to ta pao Punggol Seafood.. crab, man tou and all hmmm it was yummeh~!!! hahah
haha right back to surprise 3.. well Carl's friend told me that they were gonna meet at Timbre, so I went to wait for him to arrive. That kuku remembered I was still in SG and gave me a call just as I was abt to park. So he sat by the road side to talk to me while I was sitting in my car outsie Timbre waiting for him. Obviously I couldn tell him to walk in, if not it'll spoil the surprise haha after 15mins we finally hung up. And I saw him walk in, I called again haha so Surprise 3 worked and YES! he was surprised hahaha... made my stay in SG a good one seeing my friends so happy to see me (:
Well Im back in Glasgow right now, staying at Angel and Damus' place.. weird to be living alone though.. no one to talk to but ppl on msn and skype.. Ive got the whole flat to myself.. which is kinda big for 1 person I think haha Im so use to living in my little matchbox.. haha.. told u why I had to come back.. Project that Im working on is
"Examining the feasibility of the Nintendo Wii devices as physical activity and cognitive training tools for older adults"
Im so lucky to have gotten this chance, this project being up my alley and all... absolutely brilliant.. but like all research projects, the starting part is always dull, lots of reading, looking up journals and all.. but Im game for it.. who knows.. might just help me decide if I wanna do my Masters.. (:
One for the road...
Started at the Family... Ending at the Family...
Started at the Family... Ending at the Family...

And always ending at Mackers... (: hee
*Fighting back*
