Back in halls, back to my cosy (when the heater starts to work again) little matchbox room, back to student halls... Germany was definitely an eye-opening experience... so much history, didn wow me like how Italy and Paris certainly did... Germany was different... lets just say, Ive had enough of wearing 5 layers of clothes everyday, enough of cold weather, snow in my eyes, enough of sausages (including currywurst!)... pictures will come when I get them from D&A..

Friends have been telling me to check my mail box.. so I was really looking forward to checking my pigeon hole to see if the postman had brought me anything.. but to my dismay.. it was empty when I got back from the airport this afternoon.. so I thought one of my flatmates had already brought all the mail back to the flat.. so I went straight to the kitchen to check... no mail.. slightly disappointed... then I thought.. maybe they have slipped all my mail under my door into my room.. so went straight to my room to check.. no mail... oh well thought I had to wait a couple more days before they arrive...

So unpacked my bag, did the usual tidying up, checked my e-mails, time just flew.. next thing it's dinner time... no food in flat, only instant noodles.. went to kitchen to make some noodles and alas~!!!! mail on the kitchen table and they were all for me~!!! u can just imgaine the biggest smile on my face (: I just dropped everything, took all my mail and went straight back to my room to open my mail... still beaming mind you.. (:

Thank you so so much for taking the time to buy me a card and going to the post office to send it... no idea how much I appreciate it... (: really did put a huge smile on my face... (:

Mom and Dad's christmas card finally arrived....

Thank you Kelly for both your cards, Auntie Liz and Uncle Tony for sending one, Fannie, loved the card u sent haha... I dont mind late cards haha thank you Princess and *marc, yes it finally arrived~! (:

Ooooo when I was back in Singapore, *marc and I spent many hours one night in Mustafa searching for my cars haha...couldn find them then but I've found them~!! hahah.. Just go to Hamburgh, Germany... Minature Wonderland.. they have loads... stood there for a good hour digging through heaps of cars to find the ones I was looking for and I manage to find all 4 of them.. wheee... ♥ one's still in its box which I cant open so I guess it's gonna stay there... but the other 3 have found their new home.. hee...

Im definitely a very lucky girl... and I will be going to bed with a huge smile on my face tonight knowing that I have incredible friends and family who I hope they know are important to me.. every single one of them and I will be there for them whenever they need me.. cos if they didin know that, now they do (:

Feeling bored and lonely today.. hall is like a dead zone.. no one along the pathways, no one walking abt the corridors, no slamming of doors.. just absolute silence... kinda creepy.. making sure the front door is locked every once in a while...

Mubina passed me some albums last night.. haha good thing abt being alone is you get to sing out loud without a worrying that someone might hear you haha.. singing to The Script, Maroon 5, Ne-yo, Christmas songs ... love those christmas songs...♥

spent the day doing research for another report... took a break at abt 4 and kinda moved my bed to the living room cos I was absolutely freezing in the flat.. the portable heater was out, duvet came along.. Just so happen "You've got mail" was on the telly so made myself a cup of tea and snuggled under the duvet... nearly fell asleep at one point.. too comfy...

socks Angeline gave me last christmas have come in handy this year.. keeping my feet nice and toasty... (:

including Granpa Peacock's heater haha..

Oh wells thats that... Will be leaving Glasgow in a few hours for Germany... seeing another part of Europe.. Alistair left last night to meet his friend, Amy.. we'll be doing the same today... last train to Edinburgh, 6am flight out to Berlin.. not looking forward to sleeping in the airport though but cant be helped..

We were all saying that the excitment seems to be missing for this trip. Exams, time to study, finishing of reports are things that are on our minds instead of this trip haha.. just have to make the most out of it I guess..

Well I better get packing.. not packed yet..

Christmas was a blast in Dumfries. Whole family, presents, glorious food, the good banter, couldn ask for more... well maybe nicer weather though but who's complaining hee.. (:

* Christmas eve *

Christmas eve saw both mom and myself stuffing this ginormous bird, being 'virgin stuffers' haha we got right into it... new experience, wouldn know how to explain the feeling haha but the end result was.. slurps* couldn ask for a better stuffed bird... (:

Grandpa Peacock was over on christmas eve and stayed over... christmas eve dinner was already so yummy and so much! pate and crackers, gammon and chips, pavlova and all.. by jinxs... thats to warm up the tummy for whats to come next...!!

Candle lit service it was after dinner... every year without fail, if I am in scotland, we would go to that service.. and this year I couldn have asked for more... attended the service with mom and dad and the brother.... of course auntie and uncle were both there (:

After service, Auntie, Uncle, brother and myself were over to keira's house for the christmas party.. went last year, had a blast and got invited to it again this year so thought why not, go for a laugh and I had a ball.. (: got a bit carried away with the wine though haha but managed to walk home (not in a straight line) but managed, with a tipsy brother, auntie and uncle in tow...

Oh and how sweet were they.. they found a candle, stuck it in a cake and sang me happy birthday when it was midnight... awww....

* Christmas Day *

didn even get a chance to get showered and dolled up and was presented with this beautiful cake that my mom and dad had bought for me (:

opened my cards and presents from the family which were all lovely.. cant thank them enough for them.. ♥

Christmas dinner (lunch).. well pictures says it all I guess.. prawn cocktail for starters, soup next, turkey with ALL the trimmings for most, I passed on the brussel sprouts and mashed carrots and parsnips (not a fan)... dessert had to be put on hold till a couple of hours later.. just could not stomach it after wolfing down that whole lot of food....

Mom trying oh so very hard to read the trivia cards without her glasses, trivia cards were being passed around while waiting for the next course... good idea isnt it.. (: a bit of trivia, using the brain while the tummy works away.. haha Poor mom was down with my cold though...

This was taken just a few minutes before my parents had to leave for the airport.... not everyday we get to be a family like this... one of those rare moments...

Good-byes are never easy for us.. so today was no different... had to say good bye with tears in our eyes.. But I think mom and dad enjoyed their visit even though it was a rather short one... ♥

After wiping away the tears, which took a while I might add, it was back into the kitchen preparing for dinner.. it has become an annual event for me.. doing the boxing day dinner.. no pictures Im afraid haha.. that brother of mine was more excited abt eating than pictures.. But I can tell you what I made.. (quite impressed hee..) I made... 2 vege dishes (D&A inspired), steamed egg with mince pork and prawns, ginger pork, bak ku teh (uncle's fav so I had to make that), cereal prawns (which Ive yet to master, cos it didn turn out right) and mom's lemon chicken which Laura loved...

so that's it.. christmas has come and gone.. a year older.. maybe slightly wiser?? haha one can only hope... heading back to Glasgow tmr morning with my cousin..

Hope everyone had a brilliant christmas.. its always the holidays that make me miss you sepcial ppl at home so much more... ♥

Its been a while since I last posted an entry...

Mom and Dad have been over for a week by now and they seem to be enjoying themselves.. Mom coping well with the cold weather.. Am finally down with the bug that has been going abt.. I say finally cos this bug has been going around in halls since 3 weeks ago.. everyone living in halls got it and I somehow have managed to avoid it... Kim and Lexy from class have both got it and we attend many classes together and always sit beside each other and I somehow manage to avoid it too until 2 days ago.. oh well.. only so much my immune system can do.. started off with a nasty cough for a day then it was the dreaded fever, was in bed all day yday just feeling sorry for myself and today the pipe works started.. fever broke but the nose cant stop dripping.. walking ard with a rather sore upper lip with all the blowing of the nose.. can sense that my taste is to go next..

oh well just hope it all clears by the time chrismas comes if not Im sure it wont be a jolly one.. (: assigments have to be put on hold as well.. arghhh.. nightmare.. am so behind time now...

Ive got loads of pictures to post but I really am just too tired to do it.. so am just gonna leave it..

Im just writing in to give friends the heads-up.. Just hope the postman does a good job and gets whatever Ive sent over to you guys... (: I do apologise if Ive missed anyone out..

Made more cookies the weekend before my parents came... improved recipe this time.. Alistair preferred the flatter ones but my flatmates all prefer these.... with my secret ingredient hee.. (:

Oh and for my class night out.. they went for dinner.. which I missed cos the stupid tax took AGES to come.. 45mins I waited out in the cold for the taxi.. and missed dinner cos of it.. sobs.. anyways made it to The Stand which is a comedy club in the westend which was good.. didn know what to expect, it being my first time and all.. and I must say it was a good experience....

It was Kirsty's (flatmate) birthday so Hazel and I made a strawberry sponge cake for her this afternoon... Hazel's idea of taping bin bags to Kirsty's room to make it look like her room got broken into as Kirsty was away home for the weekend and only came home this evenin haha... thank god as soon as she saw it she knew it was Hazel's doing haha...
