Diane is finally back in Scotland, after travelling for what seems like forever.. she will be in Glasgow for a couple of weeks, so took the chance to meet with her for coffee just now... It was great seeing her, talking about our time in Brissy, in the garage haha, old gossip, new gossip, happy days, always great banter.. we laughed about the past, and over silly things haha.. god Ive missed the girl. (:

She just sent me a silly text,

"Hey Peacock, was great catching up tonight, banter.com, just texting to say good night as we are so cool and have no one else to say good night too and us feathered friends gotta stick together haha. So good night, sweet dreams and all that jazzle. Love Flamingo..."

hahhaa... that just cracked me up BIG time...

Oh well, on the side note, just spent the last couple of hours using EndNote, a programme that is suppose to help with referencing.. thing is you've got to enter all your references at the start so that you'll have a library full of references.. so that kinda took a while... so thats done.

Had our last volunteer in today for final tests, and spent the rest of the day trying to install SPSS onto my laptop, which failed, then tried installing it onto the computer at work, that failed too, thank god someone let me used their comp. So rest of the day was spent doing stats, charts and tables.. only after a few hours later, I realised I was alone in the office, the floor, the entire building, until... the Janitor walked in,

"Are you leaving anytime soon? Cos the football is on at 6..."

Haha how could I say no.. so I packed up and left, and thank god the rain had stopped by then....

Am on target at the moment, so keeping my fingers, toes,
arms, eyes all crossed.. hoping that I can at least get my results section done by friday... (:

Btw, am in love with songs by Ray Lamontagne at the moment...

When I was studying at JI, my classmates would come into class every morning with a paper. I cant remember what it is called now, the free one you use to get at MRT stations, or bus stations.. small sized paper... honestly cant recall what it is called now haha..

So, now cos Im always at Jordanhill, I get the train everyday. And they have something similar called the "Metro" haha named rather appropriately even though its the train not the metro I take. Came across this article which I brought in to show my colleagues... who were tickled to death.. Only cos, our department is a health department. Meaning we are trying to promote physical activity to people. So I guess the department and the Scottish Health Department, especially the one for Glasgow has their work cut out for them dont they.. (:

Was browsing through my picture folder the other night.. missing a little bit of this...

and the dangling shoes.... which u cant see in this picture, but I can assure u there are dangling shoes...

and missing a whole lot of this....

God knows when I'll be able to go back to this place again... Great Ocean Road, Melbourne... soon soon.. (:

This week is gonna be a mad week, and it has already started.. Its my last week interning and we only finish testing subjects tmr. Which means I cant start analysing data till tmr afternoon. I got a crash course in using SPSS. Anyone in SG using this???

Anyways, long story short, Ive got to try get my results section done by friday. God knows how am I gonna do it. But thats my plan. So that I'll just have the discussion part to write up when I go back home. What's a few more late nights in the office eh? haha..

Today felt like summer is truly over.. Gusty cold winds, big droplets of rain..... it was freezing.. plus it has started to get dark earlier....what has happened to summer? ever since Ive been here, Ive experienced what, a maximum of a week of sunshine, at the most?... Im turning white again.. losing my aussie tan.. ):

Meeting 美女 tmr for coffee~!! hahah very excited about that... (: can't wait...

In the words of GML, to the bed and beyond... soon...

No rest for the wicked... well it was suppose to be a rest day today.. ended up doing quite a bit.. here it goes.

Got the train to Jordanhill to pack the Wii plus everything I need for the test as Im gonna be using my Aunt and Uncle as subjects over the weekend... bloody box was so heavy, a 15 minute walk to the train station took me over 30 minutes.. Was panting and sweating like a pig by the time I got there, plus ended up with huge brusies on both thighs from where the box had been rubbing against..

Got home evetually, with great difficulty, immediately changed and went to meet Lexy at the pool for a swim. Not had anything to eat by this point which was about 3 when we left. Went over to Sainsbury's to get us some 'lunch'. It was a gorgeous day, so we decided to just sit out and have our lunch in the sun along Buchanan street.. sat and chatted for a bit before Lexy had to leave to study for her exam on thurs...

So I went home, cleaned the flat, did some laundry, called Fannie to wish her a Happy Birthday (:

Afterwhich, made changes to my report that my supervisor had suggested, did my ethics form that's due next friday, so thats out of the way now, plus did my other essay for my intern. SO! very productive dont you think..? haha...

I should be knackered by now.. sound asleep.. Ive got a morning train to catch tmr but Im still wide awake! arghhh hate it when this happens...

Guess there's just too much going on in this brain of mine..

p.s: hey fatter if only you are still working at Central, I get the train from central every morning now and drop by Starbucks every once in a while for a drink haha which always reminds me of u.... missing u xx

Got to love Love LOVE Orange Wednesdays... I mean come on.. how great a deal is this... All you need is an Orange operator Sim Card, text in 'FILM', get sent a code, show that code when you buy ur tickets and you get 2 tickets for the price of one... on top of that, you still get your usual student discount.. plus today I found out, since Angeline has subscribed to the unlimited card, I got my ticket for free haha.. how amazing was that.. (:

We watched this...
and boy the truth is not pretty, it rarely is aint it... hahah.. well.. an eye opener/smack in the face for a once loved and lost and has never been loved since kinda girl... you start to wonder... am I a control freak? Do I have a check list? hahaha... but all in all.. it was an awesome Love story.. in boy term = chick flick...

Girls will love it, boys, well I dare say might actually enjoy it.. (: But! the whole time I was watching it, I couldn help but think that Gerad Butler (who I MUST add was born in Glasgow) had cheeks filled with marshmallows the whole time! hahah..

Well, my to-do-list (which has nothing to do with what I'd said earlier on *winks*) was to type another paragraph for my introduction and am jolly well gonna do it, by hook or by crook, even if Ive got to pry my eyes open with tooth-picks...

I couldn believe I was first in the office this morning (well I had to cos we had an early appointment with a subject) but was also the last one to leave, which was odd, rather unusual... got kicked out by the janitor.. oh well.. got as much as I could done..

Enough boring talk from lil'ol Boring me..

What made you smile today?
Ive got a pocket full of sunshine....(:

HO NO~!!! It's Christmas at Harrods~!! crikey

Haha.. first person I thought of was you, Glenn~!!! U're in the wrong country!! Here's a guy who sings christmas carols almost the whole year round haha.. And just when we thought Singapore was silly to start putting up their christmas lights in Sept or October haha... Beat that Singapore... (:

Next thing, maybe we could start celebrating Christmas in June~! haha.. that way people would actually be free on my birthday and I can actually celebrate it on the day itself (: just wishful thinking on my part...

Into my 2nd last week of interning now.. great response for volunteers, have to start turning people down.. over-whelming response means we'll be testing right up to next wednesday plus long hours in the labs like today... yikes.... does not leave me lot of time to analyze the data as next Friday would be my last day as an intern ):

Part of me really wish I had more time to work on this project, but the other part of me is very homesick. Ive only got to spend so little time with my family this year, compared to what Ive had the past few years.. But I reckon this little sacrifice will do me the world of good.. for now and for my future....

ABBE~!!! Ive kinda started training.. did my first 10k in like months yday haha.. legs are aching like mad haha... and had a session in the pool today... so the plan is spin class on thurs.. have to whip my butt into shape (:

Missing everyone at home terribly... and of course the ppl in Brissy...
p.s: FB just makes me miss u all so much more.. ):

Muacks ♥♥♥

SMILE

Life is a mixture of sunshine and rain,
Laughter and pleasure,
teardrops and rain.

All days can't be bright
but it's certainly true,
There was never a cloud the sun didn't shine through.
And you'll find when you smile your day will be brighter
And all your burdens will seem so much lighter.

For each time you smile
you will find it's true
Somebody, somewhere,
will smile back at you.
And nothing on earth can make life more worthwhile
Than the sunshine and warmth of a beautiful smile!
