Well.. I did say March was a busy month... and everything kinda happened in a week haha... so here's my week in a nutshell...

Wednesday night - International Night

got asked repeatedly to go for International night with the NTU exchange folks. Was bugged by Sunny all afternoon.. so wth not been for an international night since god knowns when haha..

It was a great night... made it for Biomechanics tutorial and every lecture after that.. quite impressed with myself haha.. Got on really well with them so got invited to help out with Hazel's Surprise birthday part on Friday.. (: I helped with the decor haha...

Friday - Hazel's Surprise Party

The theme of the party was "Dots & Strips" .. didn know what to get for her so decided to get her a top for the party haha well she was the one getting surprised so she came in shorts and a tank top haha...

Spent the whole night pouring my drinks into others haha.. like being the sober one and watching what ppl get up to when they are drunk haha...


2am in the morning we decided to head out to do a jump shot which kinda failed miserably haha.. and it was cold!!!! we all went out without our jackets and coats...

Saturday - Alison's 21st Party

Alison and her twin had a party last night.. it was a good night.. good music and great company as usual.. (: Surprisingly no one from our clique was drinking cos most of them were driving so we were all on OJ and half shandy haha...

Friday night, Jean invited me and a couple of her friends out for dinner to celebrate her birthday as well.. (: it was a quiet affair but a good meal... pictures still with Jean who's on her way back home to sunny singapore - lucky girl

So that has been my week... back to normal this week... back to my usual routine of work, study and gym - hopefully haha...

Oh and no hot water since wednesday~!!! have been 'borrowing' showers since haha Billy called me a "shower slut" dont blame him though haha... well am off for a shower and then its study time.. haha...

The Dad has to get his heart ready for more "argh!".. "watch out!".. "too fast too fast" haha guess this was my dad when I first drove in Singapore.. okok I may not be the best driver.. but I hardly get any practice!... only get to drive when Im in Singapore which is like 2-3 months out of a year...

♥ oh and hope all goes well at night not that you'd need any luck but u know what I mean haha... eager sister wanting to know how it ALL went alrights! hahaha....

March has always been a 'busy' birthday month... Hope everyone gets their cards on time, give or take a few days hehe... sincere apologise to those who didn get one (:

Its ♥Alison's 21st today and she had to celebrate it with a really boring psychology lecture up at Jordanhill haha... she got a card and cupcakes from us.. Will give her her present at her birthday party cos we still have not decided what to get haha.. nearly got her an ipod shuffle but her twin sister got one for her.. *phew* thank god we didn get it yet hahah.. scratching our heads to figure out what to get....

Nothing much to update really.. Sunday the gang headed down to tesco at a reasonable time of 4pm.. with daylight I might add haha.. Angline was stocking up.. 1 trolley was D&A's, I barely filled mine so technically Angeline filled 1 and a half trolleys haha!! she makes an excellent house wife. She can tell you which washing detergent smells nice, what kind of toilet paper is better, things like that haha...

Was at the 'World's Tallest Cinema' on sunday night as well with guys from class.. Watched this film. Billy came to pick me up and demanded me to drive his car! haha.. he wanted to 'test' my driving abilities.. which I must say is rather rusty.. drove my dad's car when I was home and its an automatic.. last time I drove a manual car was..hmmm my driving test itself I think haha... he stopped his car right smack in the middle of the road behind my halls, got out and said, "U're gonna drive me there." So I did... haha.. got there in 1 piece with a pair if sweaty palms and a racing heart! haha.. guess I still know how to drive a manual haha.. *phew*

Made sweet potato soup (couldn sleep after calling you Auntie Liz haha...) put in a wee bit too much ginger... so kinda have to finish it now... if it was nicer I would have brought over some for others to try.. but its not very good.. will try again haha..

Monday was a really really REALLY wet day... got bored by 7pm so headed down to the gym.. haha Met Fionna and tried the VibroGym for the first time haha.. boy did it vibrate! suppose to help reduce cellulite and burns fat... made my nose itchy thats for sure!! anything to help the figure (:

This morning was nice and sunny, cold, but sunny. But as I sit in my 'Garden Sented' room (finally found refills for my air freshener thingy), I can hear the rain... guess it's gonna be another cold wet night Im afraid...

WELL..... what can I say about today haha... it has been filled with laughter, laughter and more controllable laughter... I had tears streaming down my face for most of the day~!! haha....

First lecture of the day, was by this visiting lecture who was Irish.. but then she said something that caught everyone.. the kinda thing that U had to be there to here it... that got Kim and I started... then we headed over to the library to go over the presentation which was fine. But as we were leaving the library something set Kim off and it set me off and before you know it, Kim was bright red and I was sitting on the stairway laughing so hard, tears rolling down my face...

And then!! we had to do this presentation~~!!! and everyone had the giggles... haha just couldn not say a word without laughing haha some presentation it was... aha

Spoke to 'dinosaurboy' properly on skype for the first time today and again I couldn stop laughing!! haha... then I got him laughing haha.. not much of a convo eh? hahaha....

*Alison and Kim haha... all wrapped up, ready to brave the good ol' scottish weather haha.....

Finished reading another book... another 'chick lit' as someone once put it..haha Same author who wrote "Confessions of a Shopaholic" ... Quite liked this book.. liked the ended (: am gonna start on one that Alison lent me the other day... a more serious book this time hahah... see how that goes...

Just got home from D & A's... had dinner over at theirs... good dinner as usual.. never a bad one (: haha...

*no drunk calls from you-know-who-you-are haha... been good and sober all night haven't you.. (: hahaha

Took Alison and Max to Rumours for dinner just now... Max who is crazy over Alison has been trying to get her out on a date and has been bugging me to bring him to a nice chinese place... so 2 killed 2 birds with 1 stone (again being the lamp-post, seems like the norm for me now haha), took the 2 out to Rumours for our tea... Max, the guy who wears comic boxers and tries to read them in class...

Max had Singapore Laksa, Alison had Kong Pao Chicken and I had my fav Fish Head Bee hoon with lots and lots of 'kiam chai' hee... they really enjoyed themselves... well they went home with fiery hot lips though haha

Edinburgh Uni's Singapore Society organised a Singapore Food Festival on the 1st of March and invited all Singaporean students studying in Scotland.. and since Damus and Angel have never been to Edinburgh... we thought we would make a day out of it.. Auntie Betty was kind enough to offer us a place to stay....

While walking up the Royal Mile towards the castle.. we walked past a bunch of guys dressed in funny outfits.. with Liverpool Medics written on some of their t-shirts.. they sure did enterain everyone who was walking up the road.. haha..

*My favourite FUDGE shop (: just how I remembered it to be, cant believe it has already been more than a year since I was last in.....

Stopped by a pub for lunch... D & A wanted something Scottish haha so we had Fish 'n' chips ....

We climbed up Carlton Hill and boy was it windy... nice view.. first time for me up there as well (:

What else did I miss.. we went to the Scottish Parliment where we sat in the debating chambers for a while and watched a debate by the Youth Scottish MPs which was fascinating... Had nice sunny but chilly weather that afternoon which turned wet and really windy by evening time...

We were all quite tired from all the walking we did by the time we got to the food fest.. Food fest was alright.. nothing to write home abt really... they served us tiny tiny portions. I had a lousy headache by then, Angeline and Damus were spoken to rudely so everyone was not in the best of moods by the end of the night hence why no pictures were taken (: there was a little performance though thats abt it.. we got the next possible train back to Glasgow and straight to bed it was....

And that was my weekend... back to uni.. back to a ton of work waiting for me... it snowed on monday and a bit today... its March and its snowing.. still cant get my head round that...

Strathclyde Union organised a belated Chinese New Year event at the Union on the 26th of Feb.

So out came the qi pao, weather was a bit to cold for a cheong sum even though some girls braved the weather and wore it. (: Event was packed with Malaysians, the Singaporeans went as well including some from Brunei. Food was good. There was a Lion Dance performance and dance performances by groups of kids which was absolutely brilliant (:

Had a blast that night....

Thursday 28th of Feb, Glasgow University organised an event called the Global Village. The whole idea was people from various countries make or cook their national dishes so people like us could have a taste. There was a stall from Singapore and Malaysia as well, side by side.. (: There were far too many people in the small hall. Food went fast so didn get to try everything. We left the place feeling quite hungry and disappointed...

*well as usual... we ended up at Rumours for supper..

Last week was a really busy week.. was over at Edinburgh on Friday till Saturday for another food festival thingy organised by Edinburgh Uni. Will post the pictures soon... Am glad I survived last week... hopefully this week will be a quieter week...

Oh Dad's birthday was on the 1st of March - HAPPY BIRTHDAY ~!! hopefully ur card will arrive tmr...
