♥ Pancake Sunday ♥

Well at least I tried making pancakes haha... thought they looked a bit like prata but did infact taste like pancakes haha... a little bit or maple syrup and a few strawberries did the trick (:

Flat inspection tmr.. so was busy cleaning the flat this afternoon after breakfast.. ok more like brunch hee.. tidying up, vacuuming the flat, scrubbing the stoves, doing the dishes.. it sure did take a while.. was knackered by the end of it.. no wonder moms are like so fit haha.. sure is a workout.. Met Mubina and Alistair for some badminton action.. there were 3 of us so we kept rotating... found a bball in the cupboard so I did a bit of shooting while Alistair and Mubina had their first game.. Alistair lost hee.. to be fair he's not picked up a racquet in years... he lost to both Mubina and I in 2 separate matches haha.. think football is more his sport.. (:

Its freezing outside.. this morning was abt -7 degrees... afternoon was so foggy and misty, temperature did not even hit 5 degrees.. met D&A for dinner @ China Blue.. and the walk home by jings... I was frozen by the time I got home.. too cold... far far FAR too cold..

Been trying to finish this taiwanese series ... haha its the lamest, most cheesy series of all time.. but I ♥ it.. absolutely love love love it haha.. cant get enough of it ahah.. was asking Angel over dinner questions cos Im only half way through.. haha cant wait to find out what happens.. I could probably write the script cos its that predictabe.. thats how cheesy it is haha..

Anyhos... praying hard that we pass the inspection tmr.. flat has never looked cleaner, toilet smells of bleach, living room smells freshly vacuumed... I can finally see the floor in my room haha.. so fingers, arms, toes and eyes all crossed...

think I'll have to start hibernating in my room if the temperature doesnt change... ):

We booked tickets for the West Side Story a while back cos Mubina's friend was in Glasgow for a visit. So Monday night we were all at the Theatre Royal eager to watch the West Side Story. Did not watch the film so wasnt sure what to expect from it..

The music was amazing, the production was fantastic, casting couldn be better.. but man, the dances were terrific... It was honestly money well spent..

Saturday night, usually a night where we'll meet D & A for dinner but its baltic outside.. absolutely freezing.. plus.. X factor is on hee... *cheeky smile* so stayed in instead.. and I tried my hands at making cookies.. Im more of a cake baker but I didn have an electric whisk nor did I have a proper set of scales or even proper baking trays and tins haha so I really had to improvise...

I think I managed them alright haha.. whisked (more like vigourous mixing) everything by hand with a wooden spoon, baked the cookies on a pizza dish, roasting tin haha.. what ever I could find.. measured the ingredients in a measuring jug.. dont ask how.. estimated the butter.. and they tasted fine~!! not Millie's or Famous Amos kinda standard though but hey.. its my first time at making cookies.. so there you go.. (:

Got to wait an hour before the results from X factor.. oooo its gonna be a hard on this week.. they were all so good.. amazing.. it'll be so sad to see anyone of them leave.. ):

Trying hard not to fall asleep while waiting for laundry to be done.. (: make a mistake of taking a nap yesterday without putting the alarm on.. bad bad move... had problems going to bed plus had a weird weird dream... arghhh....

Anyways.. megavideo is acting up again.. nothing to watch so was looking through old pictures that are saved on my laptop haha... came across this one that Fara had posted on facebook a while ago.. I really cant remember taking this picture haha.. I really did enjoy working at starbucks though.. haha.. met some really nice people who I worked with plus met while working... thats the back room where we were always mucking about doing silly things.. (:

Abbe.. I dunno why your photo has turned so yellow... but I must have scanned mine ages ago.. I found it in one of my picture folders~!! (: OBS.. those were amazing times... think this was the 9 days camp.. did u go for the 5 days one with me? or was this one the 5 days one? I really cant remember haha.. but they were great fun werent they.. getting bitten by mozzies haha eating milo with bread, sleeping out in the open and star gazing all night, sitting round camp fires talking about everything.. happy days ♥

And this one ... our so called prom haha.. ended up with just a high-tea thingy... well better than nothing.. secondary sch all we had was a buffet thingy in the canteen after assembly.. haha.. thats the problem with coming from rubbish schools haha.. but at least the company was good.. these girls were my partners in crime in JI! haha.. Alvina was with me for bball training, Pei Xian who sat beside me in class... haha my sleeping buddy and Che Ka for Physics lecture and after training dinners right? haha..

These were from Dundee days... Dundee College didn have any halls of residence so I had to stay with a family who rented out rooms to student.. and was really fortunate to have gotten the Shrimpton Family who were nothing but nice.. 2 girls below were their daughters Mhairi and Eilidh and the girl in orange.. cant remember her name but she was from Germany, training to be a policewoman..

These were the rest of my house mates... can hardly remember most of their names.. lemme give it a go.. From left to right.. thats Rebecca from Greece, Eva from Hungary, Paolo from Spain, Martin from Germany (or at least I think his name is Martin) arghhh really annoyed I cant remember her name.. but the 2 germans were in Dundee for some police exchange programme thingy..

Oh and I used to coach Dundee Swim team while I was at college.. wednesdays and fridays.. gosh my memory is soo bad.. haha.. I coached the 5 to 10 year olds.. most of the time they were a joy to coach, other times well hahah that age group they do tend to get a little cheeky sometimes.. (:

Well Ive still got a few minutes before the dryer is done.. weather is extremely cold today.. dry but so cold.. Felt like a ice block the whole day.. been drinking loads of tea to try warm myself up.. heater is on full blast... sitting with my trackies, 2 t-shirts, thick socks and boots on in my room haha.. brrr... cant get any colder than this... I hope... ):

And here's me thinking 'hell week' was over when 'busy busy couple of days' came knocking.. well more like barging though the door.. it literally has been non-stop since the night before the presentation... Mubina's friend from France whom she met while doing her attachment, is in Glasgow for a short holiday... so friday night we had a girlie night out at Bamboo... didn stay long though.. heels were killing plus creepy guys in club just put us right off...

Mubina was taking her friend to see the West End... Kelvingrove museum, Glasgow uni, Botanic gardens, ice-cream, Little Italy...

We were all shattered from the night before.. Alistair was over at noon and I was still asleep.. so only made our way to the west end at abt half past.. haha... it was so cold as well.. brrrr... freezing.. got the tube into Hillhead and we pretty much walked the rest of the time....

First of, Glasgow uni... it is sooo beautiful.. well it has been described as Harry Potter-ish buildings and it sure was...

Imagine this being your sch grounds.. haha I wouldn mind going to sch everyday... Glasgow Uni, old and prestigious.. Alistair's uni, new and modern.. Mine.. hmmm I'll just leave it at that ahha... (:

After walking ard Glasgow Uni.. we went for the famous ice-cream which apparently is the best ice-cream in the UK..

oh and here is where I dropped my phone trying to take a picture and which took a chunk of my phone... clever leslie, so clever...

The University Cafe is a really family oriented place with fold-up chairs and old greasy walls.. students having their Sunday fry-up brunch...

Did the ice-cream live up to it reputation???... hell yeah.. it was just the best. Smooth, creamy, everything good ice-cream should have.. what ever that is haha...

We went to the Botanic Gardens after that.. not as big compared to the one at home but it was beautiful inside... the sculptures were amazing, all had a story of its one... the one below is of Eve...

By the time we go to Kelvingrove Museum it was already dark.. and it was only 4.45pm.. we only had 15mins to look ard.. so made a beeline for the Mackintosh exhibition....

Took Alistair to Little Italy for dinner.. a place that Ive been dying to go for ages.. and it didn disappoint me at all.. cheap and good, cant beat that.. manage to get the tube back before the station closed, did our weekly tesco shopping and home-sweet-home..

Gonna rush my report now.. arghhh I need more hours in a day.. hours just seem to be disappearing... Bought myself a mocha from Tinderbox.. think Im gonna pull a all-nighter again tonight, trying to get as much done as I can.. (:

Hell week is over.. for now.... never been happier to welcome the weekend (:

Been working really hard on my presentation... reading so much about it and getting my head round all the facts.. Presentation went alright.. Lecturer was pleased with it so yeah.. pretty happy with it.. slight boo boo that one of my group mates couldn turn up cos he was ill and I had to cover his part.. So I was literally speaking for almost 45 minutes.. got a taste of what it was like to give a lecture.. quite nerve recking actually haha.. but thats done and dusted.. just 1 more report due next week and I'll be report free till the next batch of reports are handed out.. cant wait.. not.. (:

Jessica kindly invited Angel, Damus, Alistair and myself for her graduation last night at The Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where she recieved a distinction degree in music...

Well, while we were all comfortably seated in the auditorium and the ceremony started.. and with all the profs and really really educated ppl in their gowns walked in and sat down.. I couldn help but notice the guy 2nd from the right... I nudged Alistair and said, "That guy looks really familiar... Ive seen him somewhere before..."... well about 2 seconds later it hit me... "OH!!! wasnt he the guy that acted in Wanted??!!!" Alistair stared at the guy for a while and was like, "Oh yeah.. James whats his name... McAvoy!!" hahah...

And that wasnt all.. know that old man who acted in Jurassic Park, the one that owned the park... Richard Attenborough was seated just a few sits down from James McAvoy haha.. bring on the actors.. who's next to show up hahah... boy were we in for a treat..

It was a really entertaining ceremony.. the students of the school did a short skit which was quite funny.. them mocking the Americans.. (: oh and there was this girl who sang opera.. really good voice..

I couldn stay after the ceremony.. had to rush off for training..

Soooo gutted that I had to leave.. Alistair and Damus managed to get a picture with James McAvoy ... one to keep and show their grandchildren haha...

Well training went really well... plan was to meet the rest of my classmates in town for a night out.. some of us had training to go to, those who didn would head to Fiona's first.. but guess everyone got a little too comfy at her place so ended up heading over to her's and staying there for the rest of the night.. just drinking and chatting.. had some really intense conversations though.. a little bit of the wii and a little bit of twister... here's poor Kim out for the night haha.. she was the only one who had one too many last night.. ♥

Got home at 4am this morning... thank god Gary gave me a lift home.. but ended up talking abt uni work and graphs for biomech reports for like half an hour haha.... Made it for my 9am lecture this morning.... BUT.... the lecturer didn!!!! should have just stayed in bed haha.. well since I was up ran a few errands... went to Borders to get my mom's magazine.. treated myself to a Gingerbread steamed milk from Starbucks.. which I didn really like haha.. still prefer Toffeenut... bought a scone from the cafe and it was straight back to bed for this missy..

Oh well... body clock needs re-adusting again.. spin class in the morning.. (: then its writing report..

Sat through 2 excruciating hours in class today... Name of class - Research & Ethics.. what did we have to do for this class today.. continue watching a video about human instinct and how/what we humans look for in a mate.. What has it got to do with the nature of the class.. NADA~!

Same Prof that taught us genetics in first year.. so we've kinda watched this video then.. he made us watch it last week but there was something wrong with the video so he had to stop it half-way... came into class today all chuffed that he had copied it onto a dvd and made us watch the rest of it hhaha... so pointless...

We went from a fully lit class....


To total darkness~!!! hahah we couldn even see the person sitting next to us haha.. and I had planned to write out my immunology notes while the video was running haha.. think I kinda dozed off at one point Zzzzz...


Spent a good 3 hours in the libray afterwards, after staying up all night the night before, doing this presentation for thursday.. arghhh an hour long presentation.. yikes....its on Physiology of Ageing and after doing so much research on it.. I really dont wanna grow old haha...not looking forward for whats installed... was in the library till abt 5 and looked out the window.. and it was dark outside.. days are getting shorter and shorter.. this part of the year really depresses me.. hate it so much.. was complaining and whining to Jaimie about it haha... but she always gives me the giggles (:


Made it to the gym today.. yeah!! haha.. seriously not been motivated at all the last few days... skipped it on friday AND sunday.. bad girl..


One thing that really really bugs me.. see when I go to the gym, I leave absolutely beetroot red, t-shirt soaked with sweat and just looking, well to simply put it - unglam.. but there are these girls who go and hardly break a sweat... I mean whats the point? they go to the gym wearing make up and huge ear rings going into the CV suite and coming out looking exactly the same.. why bother going to the gym if you are not going to work???


A week ago, I sent out 4 little cards with letters in them to 4 ppl whom I have not been in touch for a while and just wanted to tell them that they've been missed and that I do think about them.. ♥ Im so glad that they finally arrived.. was kinda getting worried that the postman had lost them somehere..


Oh and Pei Xuan is back in Singapore for a short holiday.. ): kinda wish I was home right now and not stuck with presentations, essays and journals.. bleah..


Well I think Ive procrastinated enough and should really do some reading before hitting the sack... Mom and Dad will be here in about 4 weeks!!! cant wait... ♥ this year is flying by so quickly...

Home again against Glasgow Uni just now.. (: Was absolutely crap during warm-up.. missing lay-ups.. shocking... wasnt surprise I didn get to play till the 3rd quarter.. but made it up with my first 3 of the season (: the girls are always saying that Im always smiling.. haha.. so I said I'll try to look serious and mean during the game.. which I did manage until I scored that 3 and they started to take the piss and made me laugh each time I was defending near the benches haha.. it was just pure hilarious.. haha.. I couldn stop laughing and smiling.. (:

We started the game real slow, down by a few points.. but manage to pick it up in the 2nd quarter and finally took the lead in the 3rd (: we won 87-54 our captain was soo chuffed haha.. she couldn stop jumping about hhaha...

Ah yes.. thats our horrendous strips... maroon coloured.. haha we all hate it btw.. (:

Just today while I was putting my my trainers, getting ready for the game, I noticed my trainers looking rather.. tattered and torn... Ive had them since... hmmm 2005?? and they have served me well... found 2 holes in them.. ): I do love my trainers.. cant bear to throw them away haha.. they've clocked many miles with me...♥ maybe I should ask Santa for a new pair.. (:


Spent the afternoon looking up journals and reading them.. spent more time helping Carl look for journals for his report haha..


See la u.. kept looking for journals for u.. by the time I had to do mine, I just couldn be bothered any more hahah... but found a few good ones which I seriously hope will give me the information I need for next weeks presentation... Bedtime story for the night.. bleah...

Cant wait to print off my Immunology essay.. been looking at it ever since Monday, tweaking it here and there... I should really just print it off and hand it in and not think abt it any more.. arghhhh...

am really addicted to Plain White T's 'new'-ish songs haha.. been playing them all day... all thanks to Alistair who got me listening to them on the train to Dumfries.. Lucky guy who has gone for another gig.. he seem to be getting along much better with his flat mates now.. dont need his lil old sister any more haha.. (:

Just got back to the flat after spending a wonderful time in Dumfries for the weekend...

I just wanted to get my Immunology Essay done and cos Justin and gang were over on thurs I just could not find the time to do it then.. so text the Aunt to say that Alistair and I wont be down till Saturday morning.. which allowed me to spend my whole friday in the library to do my essay (:

Early on Saturday morning (cant believe I actually manage to get up after having another late night), got the train down to Dumfries where Auntie Valerie was waiting for us.. Went into town to get Grandpa's birthday card and present...

Helped with dinner that night (: made the dessert too~!! Chicken in BBQ sauce it was.. always loved this dish...

Dessert - Eve's Pudding.. so simple yet so yummy...

*Watched X Factor that night.. argh!!! Cant believe Rachael and Daniel are still in and Laura had to get voted out cos of those 2..

Sunday morning.. Auntie Valerie, Uncle Robert, Alistair and myself all went to the church for Remembrance Day. It was a lovely service. Really enjoyed it.. all wore our little poppies on our jackets (:

Went to pick Grandpa straight after church and took him for his birthday lunch a Ken Bridge in New Galloway.. And on our way back, we stopped to see Auntie Nettie. If Im not wrong, Auntie Nettie use to be my dad's neighbour when he was just a little boy.. see the picture below, top left, I think he use to live along this street, one of the colored doors, jsut cant rememeber which one is it... (:


Well Auntie Nettie will be a 100 years old this coming march and she's still as bright as a button... must be something in the air or water hahah... (:

On our way back from New Galloway to Castle Douglas where Grandpa lives, we saw Red Kites in the sky.. We were told by our Auntie that they are really rare and were nearly extinct a while ago.. so we were really lucky to have seen them... you cant really see them in the top 2 pictures that I took, but thats what they are suppose to look like in the bottom picture.. (:

Haha below is Grandpa opening his birthday presents!!! haha... just like a little boy at christmas.. (: Alistair and I got him new PJs.. Dear Old Grandpa who will be 88 tmr.. (:

Well that pretty much sums up my weekend.. short get-away.. always love it.. back to Jordanhill tmr, laundry to do, Tesco shopping to do, forms to be handed in, assignments to be printed out.. back to the hustle and bustle of things..
